Project PharmaGlide is a slide to connect the space between dispensing counter & key-in table. Before the slide was invented, staffs complain of having back & neck pain due to repetitive turning to collect the medication basket. With the help of Engineering Department, the PharmaGlide is invented to ease the process. This project was presented at Konsenyen Kumpulan Inovatif & Kreatif Universiti Malaya 2023/2024 and had won Anugerah Inovasi Harapan.

At the 1st Malaysian Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (MASPGHAN) Conference, an esteemed international gathering of paediatric gastroenterologists, paediatric surgeons, pharmacists, and dietitians, our pharmacist Mrs. Jasreena Kaur Gill presented a poster highlighting a nutrition-focused study she conducted. The study was met with high commendation from the judges, particularly for its practical impact. Its findings directly informed and enabled the immediate implementation of an improved supply protocol for compounded parenteral nutrition (PN) bags for paediatric home PN patients—demonstrating the study’s value in translating research into real-world clinical benefit.

The PPUM Women's Volleyball Team successfully secured Third Place in the Kejohanan Sukan Badan Berkanun (SUKANUN), an achievement that also earned them the Anugerah Kecermerlangan Khas during the Majlis Penghargaan Perkhidmatan 2024. We are proud to share that one of our Pharmacy staff members,  Izzati Syazwani Binti Mohd Shaharudin, was part of this outstanding team. 

Staff from the Pharmacy Department actively participated in the Fiesta Sukan Penolong Pegawai Farmasi (FESPA 1.0) – Piala Pusingan Fiesta Penolong Pegawai Farmasi, organized by the TKPK Farmasi, Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM). The event brought together Penolong Pegawai Farmasi and pharmacy personnel from various facilities to compete in a range of sports and recreational activities. Their enthusiastic participation reflected strong teamwork, unity, and commitment to promoting health and wellness among pharmacy professionals.

The QIT Medication Error team emerged as the Champion in the Oral Presentation category during the Hari Inovasi PPUM 2024.
