Discontinued Medication- Chloroquine Phosphate 250mg Tablet

Due to the high resistance rate to this medication and infrequent use, UMMC's Drugs and Therapeutics Sub-Committee has agreed, in its July 2017 meeting, to remove this medication from UMMC Formulary.

The alternative to this medication for treating the same indication is the combination product Artemether 20mg + Lumefantrine 120mg (Riamet) tablet, a Standard Formulary medication.
