Formulary Category Change - Lamotrigine, Levitiracetam, Topiramate

17 April 2018 (Circular No. SP PPUM: 132/2018):

Based on the decision of UMMC's Tender Board on 23 November 2016 (Circular No. SP PPUM: 15/2017 dated 10 January 2017), there was a change of category of the following medications from Standard Formulary to Special Formulary:

• • • 1. Lamotrigine 50mg Tablet

      2. Lamotrigine 100mg Tablet

      3. Levetiracetam 250mg Tablet

      4. Levetiracetam 500mg Tablet

      5. Levetiracetam 1000mg Tablet

      6. Topiramate 25mg Tablet

      7. Topiramate 50mg Tablet

      8. Topiramate 100mg Tablet

However, following the agreement from our Specialists to use generic medications in treating patients, the change in formulary category from Standard Formulary to Special Formulary is cancelled.

These medications will be remained as Standard Formulary.
