UMMC Unaffected by NPRA's Order for Withdrawal of Atenolol 50mg Tablet (Ternolol) Batch BG04645

9th January 2017 (Circular No. SP PPUM: 12/2017):

Pharmacy Main Store confirmed that all current stocks of Atenolol 50mg Film-Coated Tablet (TERNOLOL) supplied by UMMC are from batches other than BG04645 and therefore safe to use.

Error in production of Batch BG04645 at the Hovid Berhad plant resulted in boxes labelled "TERNOLOL 50" but containing blister strips of medication labelled "Ternolol 100mg Tab".
